Emergency Water Shut Off (11/14/20)

(UPDATE) Saturday Nov 14th 12:35PM

The water main has been fixed and water restored. The well pumps will top off the West Water Tower to get back to full service. It’s recommended to flush your water lines of any air or stirred up sediments from a hose or tub faucet. Thank you to the work crews that jumped on task to quickly fix this, and thank you for the community’s patience and understanding.

The contractors opted to work this Saturday in order to meet the deadline for asphalt repairs before the asphalt plant closes this next week. There was no planned water shut off during this prep work, but unfortunately a water main was damaged and needs to be fixed. To isolate this, there is a large area impacted by the water shut off, and low pressure in areas in the east part of town because of the empty East Water Tower (emptied due to the recent maintenance). There is no issue of contamination with the break, though it is advised to flush your water at a tub or hose bib once the water is turned back on.

The contractors work crews and the City public work employees are on site to get this fixed as quickly as possible. Currently, it is an estimated 45 minutes until the water is turned back on. This post will be updated as more news becomes available.

Thank you for your patience.
