(Update Jan 4th, 2020 3:00PM)
The City received reports of chlorine smell or taste in the water up to 2 weeks after the water tank disinfecting. Though the water tank had cycled through over 10 times, due to a number of variables including dilution rate, unpredictable water flows through the distribution pipes, usage amounts, and chlorine sensitivity, the impact from the cleaning lasted longer than expected for some in our community. If you continue to experience any chlorine symptoms in your tap water, please contact City Hall to alert them, so the City can better prepare the community for the length of these symptoms in the future. Thank you!

Due to a water leak in another part of town, public works crews had to prioritize fixing that issue. This has postponed filling the east reservoir until tomorrow morning (17th).

The east reservoir was disinfected this morning (Wed. Dec. 16th) after it has been cleaned, re-coated and cured on the interior. Public works is refilling the tank today and wants to inform the public they may experience some chlorine smell or taste from the disinfecting when that reservoir is opened to serve the water mains. This will be temporary and should clear up by tomorrow depending on the water consumption in the community.
