The FEMA street repair project was completed the week of April 13th-17th. This was the final portion of the Ginkgo St. Improvement project that began last year.
The Sewer and Water Improvement Phase II project has begun April 13th. Two construction crews will be working, one on water and another on sewer, and have started work on Canna St. S, 2nd Ave SE, and 3rd Ave. SE. A third work crew will begin installing new water meters in a few weeks.
The week of April 20th-24th, water construction is expected to progress from 2nd Ave SE , east to cross Daisy Street. Sewer construction is expected to progress into the alley between 3rd Ave SE and 4th Ave SE. See the map below.
NOTE (updated 04/21/20): When construction is in your area please plan for changes to your garbage pickup, for restriction to street parking, and utility service disruptions. Please put your garbage out as you normally would but the night before your scheduled pickup day, and the contractors will move your totes to were they can be picked up and return them to your property after garbage has been collected. Please don’t park on the street when construction is near you. Contact city hall with any questions, and thank you for your patience as we work through this project this year.
