THE CITY OF SOAP LAKE IS ACCEPTING LETTERS OF INTEREST FOR A 2021 CAMP HOST AT THE CITY’S SMOKIAM CAMPGROUND
Spend your summer at this beautiful Soap Lake water font campground!
The Camp Host shall receive the use of one designated RV space, with water and power provided for the term of the agreement (April to October).
The Camp Host shall provide the following services:
Open all city park restrooms on each Saturday and Sunday.
Close all city park restrooms each night Saturday and Sunday.
Water grass, shrubs and trees in Smokiam Campground.
Keep Smokiam Campground clean and orderly.
Clean restrooms and showers daily at Smokiam Campground.
Maintain a list of campers, including name, address, vehicle license number and RV or tent site number.
All supplies will be furnished by the city for the maintenance and cleaning of Smokiam Campground. The city will provide necessary equipment to maintain the lawns and landscaping at Smokiam Campground.
The contact person for the City of Soap Lake will be the City Administrator located at City Hall.
The Public Works Supervisor will be the contact for any water leaks, plumbing problems, extra garbage pickups and supplies when needed.
THE CAMP HOST WILL NOT ATTEMPT TO HANDLE ANY ISSUES SUCH AS VANDALISM, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, ILLEGAL ACTIVITY OR OTHER PROBLEMS THAT WARRANT POLICE INTERVENTION. NOTIFY THE CITY OF SOAP LAKE’S POLICE DEPARTMENT OF ANY DISORDERLY CAMPERS OR SQUATTERS. THE POLICE PATROL THE CAMPGROUNDS REGULARLY.
